This magical LEGO set contains 3 extensively detailed buildings and 11 minifigures. Diagon Alley is where Harry, Ron Weasley and Hemione Granger shop for school supplies as they prepare for their studies at Hogwarts. Stop by a realistically detailed Olivander’s shop and browse their selection of wands and see the storage shelves and the step ladder that leads to the top floor. Then there’s the “exploding” front desk in the event of a spell going awry.

Another magical building in the LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley 10217 is Borgin and Burke’s shop for Dark wizards. Inside the dimly lit store you’ll find a spooky skeleton and “glow-in-the-dark” elements, perfect for a store specializing I the Dark Arts. There’s also the “stone” fireplace where wizards could travel from fireplace to fireplace by means of Floo Powder and the dangerous Vanishing Cabinet that was used to move Death Eaters into Hogwarts.

Gringott’s Bank is the snowy white, two-story building in the LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley 10217. It has double doors that can be opened up into a large building or closed to create a smaller building. Gringott’s Bank is owned and operated by goblins and is the only bank in the wizarding world. Wizards and witches go there to exchange Muggle money for wizarding money, needed to buy school and other supplies. The bank’s interior has a removable vault, including the Philosopher’s Stone, a clerk’s desk, a chandelier and “wonky” support pillars.

11 minifigures are also included with the LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley 10217 including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, each with their own magic wand. Rubeus Hagrid is included with his pink umbrella where he keeps the pieces of his broken oak magic wand. There are Ron’s brothers, Fred and George Weasley. Two of the goblins that work at Gringott’s Bank and Garrick Ollivander are also included. In “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone”, Ollivander assists Harry in selecting his first wand.

Luscius Malfoy, who studied the Dark arts while staying in Slytherin House at Hogwarts and became one of the Death Eaters, is in the set with his Death Eater disguise. The savage and bloodthirsty werewolf, Fenrir Greyback whose’ “mission in life is to bite and to contaminate as many people as possible”, is included. 4 new decorated owls, who served many functions in the wizarding world, especially delivering letters, are in the set.

Children of all ages, including their parents, will enjoy building and displaying the LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley 10217.
